Personal safety has more to do with mind than body. At Shaolin-Do, we train both - together.

Chin Na 

​In Chinese, Chin Na means "to seize and control." This system of self-defense takes advantage of physics, leverage, joint manipulation and joint locks to help people of any size learn effective techniques.

Realistic and Relevant 

​If you think traditional martial arts skills are not relevant for modern day personal safety, think again. The techniques you learn are effective and deal with many different situations.

Calm the mind

Self-defens skills is not about kicking high or swinging sword around. That's it's about sharpness of mind and toughness of body.

Leave a dent in one of our kick shields, not your wallet. Come every week or whenever it works with your fitness routine. Perfect for runners, yogis or active people who like to try different activities for balance in their fitness life.

A sampling of exercises:
Bag work. Frog leaps. Jump rope. Partner stretching. No-contact/light-contact sparring.​​ Reaction & footwork drills. Ground work. Breathing exercises.
